Short look into Transcarpathia (Zakarpattya)

Hi there! If you listen my blog for sometime, you noticed that I always mentioned that Ukraine is very big and different country. Today I want to show you one other special region of Ukraine calls Transcarpathians. It's area behind (or before) Carpathians, it depends which side you look at in. YOu need to understand that mountains devide people so much, and that's why areas which are devided from other part of country by mountains, they are special, have special customs, lifestyle, even weather.

Ivano-Frankivsk: what to visit

Ivano-Frankivsk was called on the honour of Ivan Franko - great Ukrainian writer. It's cute city in West Ukraine, very comfortable and quite. When you start to looking for "what to visit in Ivano-Frankivsk" you will find a lot of boring places, very interesting by their history.. but who care about it? I tried to find something interesting for foreigners and even ukrainian visitors.. Something, that will be cool for young people, and this is what I found.

Uzhgorod: what to visit and my report

Uzhgorod is awesome city in Zakarpattya region. If you travel there from Ukranian side, you need to cross the Carpathians at first. This land was under power of Slovakia, Hungary, Czech republic, Austria, Romania, Chroatia, Soviet Union. Most people in Uzhgorod can speak this languages, because they hear them from childhood. Only problem can be with English.

This village is part of national partk "Synevyr".

This places is not popular for tourists, so I can't suggest you visit it, because there are no services, hotels and entertainment. So I just want to show you this on pictures.

I alwasy think - if you want to know soul of country - you need to go to village and see how people live. We can't compare cities, because it's the same hi-teck or minimalizm style in apartment in all of the world, but when you go to village, you become understand soul of country and it's people. 

Traditional Ukraine - it's villages and stitchery. Ukrainians become live in cities only 50 years ago. I don't speak about Kyiv, Lviv and other big cities. 

But for example my city have 250 thousand of people today, and it's small city today. But 60 years ago we had little more then 12 000.
